Our Mission: Strive to change negative behaviors by raising awareness with emphasis on choices that improve spiritual, emotional and mental health.
Rates of alcohol and substance abuse, detrimental relationships, obesity and depression have grown tremendously due in part, to our failure to educate at home, in our schools and in the workplace. Whether you realize it or not, everyone is affected. Our work is motivated by personal desires to reduce this trend through education and prevention.
Over the past five years, RecoveryWorks has been committed to the production and delivery of education and prevention films and programs for Hawai'i audiences. One of our primary missions is to collect data by means of surveys, assessments and evaluations. With thousands of participants surveyed, we can demonstrate that there is a consensus that Hawai'i has a serious substance abuse problem and there is a need for more programs.
